Aladdin Kerosene Shelf Lamp
The mantle lamp was a miracle in the mid to late 1930s in rural America. In comparison to our wick lamps, the light that these new lamps produced was simply unbelievable.
This is the same lamp, the same bright light. Perfect lighting for your cabin or as an emergency backup at home. Unlike the older wick lamps these burn virtually 100% of the coal-oil (kerosene) without smoke or odor. One gallon will give you about 50 hours of bright white light at about 2,500 btu an hour.
The basic lamp measures 19-1/2" tall from the table top to the top of the chimney and will provide about 12 hours of light on a single filling. Called shelf lamps they can be placed around the room above eye level and light the entire room. No shade is needed. Brown base, brass fittings.
