Thunderbird Treasure Box
This rustic hinged box was designed in the U.S. with a stylized depiction of the Thunderbird of Native American legend. Recognized by tribes throughout the U.S., the Thunderbird is often seen atop traditional totem poles in the Pacific Northwest, and in the images and legends of the American Southwest, Great Plains and Great Lakes regions. The Thunderbird is considered a supernatural bird of power and strength.
The box is handmade from nickel silver by a single family in the Central Highlands region of Mexico. Nickel silver does not tarnish like sterling or silver plate, but rather develops a nice luster giving it the look and feel of a vintage piece of silver. Use a cloth to remove dust and polish away fingerprints. Velour lined. Measures 8" x 2-1/2" x 5". Weighs 1 lb. 11.6 oz.
Extremely satisfied! I bought the small nickel silver box with turqoise (Jal-15TQ). Very nicely finished and attractive! Very please that the interior is lined. Rating 10/10! Kenneth M. Wilton, CA
