Industrial Revolution Ballpoint Pen
Advancement of mechanical devices, steam power and improvements in metallurgy and chemistry defined the industrial revolution of the 19th Century. The designer of this unusual ballpoint pen used those advancements for his inspiration. There are representations of a Gatling gun barrel, flat head screws, riveted design patterns, and a gun Bolt Action mechanism serves to deploy the pen point. Metal parts are industrialized antique copper, pewter and brass. Hand turned exotic rosewood body. Medium point black ink. Smooth writing performance with a Parker-style refill (available at office supply stores). Measures 5-3/4" (closed) x 9/16".
