African Big 5 Bowl
This mouth-blown crystal bowl begins life in Poland and is shipped to the U.S. where the delicate process of multi-layer sand carving is done one piece at a time. Using templates from master carver Lorraine Coyle, sand is expelled at various speeds and pressures with the end stage being so fine it is almost like airbrushing. The number of layers on the individual carving depends on the intricacy of the design. Using the African Big 5 theme, a Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Leopard and Cape Buffalo encircle the bowl in majestic form. Perfect for candy, mints, nuts, potpourri, or even brass cartridges. Or, if you prefer, let the piece speak for itself – leave it empty. Measures 5-7/8" x 2-7/8" tall. Weighs 3 lbs. 4 oz. Hand wash only. Signed by the artist.
