When GM introduced the 1957 Bel Air, sales were not what they had expected. The appearance of the 57 was a drastic change from the 55 and 56, which were similar to each other in style. During 1957, 58 and 59, GM changed the body style dramatically each year. Those models have become the most recognizable American cars of all time, especially the 1957 Convertible and Sport Coupe models, and are highly collected. The total 1957 Bel Air production was only 62,751. The sticker price was $2,700.00.
These two models are precision die cast metal at 1:18 scale with functional wheels, doors and hood, detailed interior, wheel rims and engine compartment with the new fuel injected 283 small block engine, the Fuelie V-8, and working suspension. Both are two-door with over 140 parts. Some parts are plastic. This is an adult collectible and not recommended for children under 14. Measures 11" x 3-7/8" x 3-1/4".
