3-Tone Wind Bell with Eagle
This family-owned company in the Northeast was started when the patriarch, a lobsterman who had spent countless hours on the water listening to the pounding surf and the constant warning of the bell buoys, wanted to share this reassuring sound with others. After recording the sounds of the bell and gong buoys in the areas where he hauled his lobster traps, he painstakingly worked pieces of steel to match the tones of the haunting, yet comforting sounds the mariners listened carefully for as they navigated the harbor entrances.
Larger than the wind bell we originally offered, this three tone bell has the more deep and mellow echoing sounds of the Buoy Bell located offshore at Acadia National Park. The three-sided bell is made with recycled steel and is powder coated in a textured black that will age gracefully over time, lasting for generations. The wind catcher has been cut in the shape of a soaring Eagle with a hammer-toned bronze colored coating. The Bell body measures 15" tall x 8-1/4" x 7". Weighs 5 lbs. 3.5 oz. Total hanging length is 33". Includes a chain for hanging. Made in Maine.
