Field-tested and field ready, this rugged radio receives AM (MW), FM, Long wave (LW), and Shortwave (SW) – at home or abroad - with continuous coverage from 87.5 to 108 MHz FM. It will also receive VHF aircraft band, Single Side band (SSB) and includes a phase lock loop tuner so the AM signal is strong and clear. FM has Radio Data System (RDS) capabilities for receiving the station's call letters, style of music, song title and artist. Automatic or manual digital tuning.
With a rich orange LCD display, you get a clock/alarm and sleep timer, digital tuner, local and world time zones, Sync Detector for lowering distortion and fading, direct key-in meter band for SW, dial-in-dial coarse/fine digital tuning knob, a full range speaker with electronic volume/treble/bass control, 700 memory stations, volume control dial and Reset/Lock button.
