1:12 Scale 12 - Pound Cannon
Commonly used during the Napoleonic Wars and the American Civil War, 12 pound cannons (12 lbs. was the weight of the projectile) were used on land as well as on naval vessels. Considered light by naval standards, they formed the main armament of smaller frigates. Heavily used during the Civil War, these cannons were considered the largest caliber of long-barreled field pieces and were widely used by both the Federal and Confederate armies.
This 1:12 scale replica is made with attention to detail. Made with a cast metal barrel that is removable for closer inspection, a wood carriage, 6" metal rimmed wheels, and a detachable ram and powder rod. Standing at 5-7/8" high, it measures 8-3/8" from hub to hub and 13-3/4" from muzzle to trail. Weighs 2 lbs 7.4 oz. A must-have for Civil War enthusiasts. Made in Spain.
