Civil War Blankets
From 1861 to 1865, the Army troops of the Civil War kept warm under Woolrich wool blankets. Authentic reproductions in the identical color and pattern are being made in the same woolen mill in Pennsylvania that produced the originals. Relied upon by soldiers in the field, the navy blue with red stripe blanket was issued to the Cavalry, while the red with blue stripe blanket was issued to the Artillery branch. To make currently produced blankets wear better and last longer than the originals, Woolrich has added 15% nylon to the wool. Perfect as a throw or fits a small bed. Navy blue blanket measures 66" x 80" and red blanket measure 70" x 84". Hand wash or dry clean.
