By Stephen Herrero
Bison were the lords of the prairie. These imposing animals are the largest terrestrial animals in North America. Hunted almost to extinction, they have since rebounded and can be seen on public and private land across the U.S. While they appear peaceful and laid back, they are very temperamental and will attack without warning and for no apparent reason, particularly during rutting season when they become belligerent, unpredictable and pose the most threat.
Appearing to stand on a precipice, Stephen Herrero's depiction of a bull bison is cold cast in polystone and hand painted in fine detail. Signed by the artist. Measures 10-3/4" tall x 9-1/8" x 4-1/4".
