Handcarved Double Eagle Buffalo Horn
Each horn is a unique, one-of-a-kind work of art. The concept for the design was created in Canada and horns recovered from water buffalo that have been raised for food consumption are hand-carved in Laos. The artists in Laos carefully select the horn that is best suited to fit the design. They then hand carve and etch the finished design into the horn, creating the details, color contrasts, and depth. Each piece will have its own distinct shape, size, and natural markings. Affixed to a wooden base, this representation of that magnificent bird measures 11-3/4" tall. Each horn weighs about 1 lb. 10 oz.
