Horse Hair Concho Bracelet
Items of braided horsehair were common in the western United States during the heyday of the cowboy. The material was readily available and once braided, it provides strength and durability. Braided Horsehair halters, lead ropes and other utilitarian items were very common. Out of that grew the interest in using it as jewelry. These bracelets are typical of what might have been worn a hundred years ago. An oval concho and four strand braid is attached to a 3/4" wide leather bracelet. Finished with metal end caps and a snap closure, it is available in two sizes. Medium fits wrists to 7-1/4" and large to 8-1/4". Available in black or Sorrel brown. Each piece is handcrafted in the U.S.A. in Big Sky Country. Gift boxed.
