Men's American Bison Concealed Carry Lapel Vest
Rich, Supple, Distressed Brown Bison Leather
The American Buffalo has been a provider of food, housing and clothing to North America's inhabitants since the end of the Ice Age. At the end of the 19th century, the total population dropped to a scant 300 head. Today the best estimate is that over 350,000 head exist in North America.
Recent tanning innovations on Bison hides have led to new beautiful and unique leathers that are ideal for garments. It is prized for its lustrous and slightly wrinkled or pebbled look that develops a rich, soft patina over time. Bison leather tends to mold to your body better than most cowhide and will endure years of use.
The leather used in this great looking "Concealed-Carry" vest is thick enough to be durable but not overly heavy (1 to 1.2 mm) and is waterproof. Each garment is cut by hand, one hide at a time. There are two suede lined hand pockets on the outside and on the inside, two lined concealed-carry pockets, a zippered pocket and a wallet pocket. Four imitation buffalo nickel topped snaps accent the handsome full panel front and western yoke back construction. This is a wonderful garment even if you do not need the concealed-carry feature.
Cut true to size. For example, a size 44" is cut 44" in circumference around the chest just below the armhole. Typically you should order at least 2" larger than your upper chest to allow for a slight taper in the vest. Constructed in Mexico of American Bison Leather.
NOTE: Scarring and natural markings are prevalent, making each piece truly unique. No two hides are alike and some noticeable scarring will appear on most Bison leather.
