Panavia Tornado Fighter Jet Desk Model
Developed jointly by Italy, the United Kingdom and West Germany, the Tornado was first introduced into service in 1979 and remains one of the leading military aircraft in Western Europe. It replaced fleets of aircraft in tactical strike, reconnaissance and navel defense roles. Its variable wing angle, and its thrust reverser equipped twin engines, allow it to excel in high-speed, low altitude maneuvers and short runway takeoffs and landings. It has been used during the 1991 Gulf War, Bosnian and Kosovo Wars, Iraq War and in Afghanistan and Yemen. A total of 992, including all variants, have been built.
