W. R Case Harley Davidson CopperLock
Each year, Case offers several knives as S.H.O.T. Show specials. These knives are offered only to those dealers who place an order at the S.H.O.T. Show in January. Because the quantity is so limited, they are very desirable as collector pieces. Since they first offered a Harley Davidson themed model a few years ago, those have probably been the most popular of the ones offered. They have certainly been popular with members of the Knife Collectors Club™ and A. G. Russell™ customers.
One of the models created as a 2016 S.H.O.T. show special is the Harley Davidson CopperLock with Persimmon Orange smooth bone handle scales. When you consider how long Case has been in business, the CopperLock is a fairly new pattern. Introduced in 1997, it combines elements from two classic Case knife patterns, the Trapper and the Copperhead for an entirely new lockback knife. The 3-1/4” clip point blade is Case’s Tru-Sharp™ surgical steel at 54-57 Rc. The bolsters and liners are nickel silver, with the HD shield etched on the obverse side bolster. The obverse side handle scale is etched with the words Harley-Davidson®. A lockback, it measures 4-1/4” closed and weighs 2.9 oz. Made in the U.S.A.
