He wants them to work as good as they look. His wife Sonja is the talented sheath maker who makes and decorates the fine sheaths that are included with each of his knives. Her sheaths are definitely a step above what is typical on knives of this price level.
The 3" drop point mirror polished blade is ATS-34. The striking handle is California Buckeye Burl with a nickel silver hilt and pommel, and maroon and black micarta and nickel silver spacers. The weight of the knife alone is 4 oz. With the sheath about 5.5 oz. Handmade in the U.S.A.
