Pendleton Grateful Nation Blanket
This U.S.A.-made wool blanket honors the selfless service of our men and women in the Armed Forces. The pure virgin wool fabric is woven in Pendleton's American mills. Each of the colorful stripes on this blanket represents an authentic service ribbon awarded to veterans of America's military conflicts. Placed chronologically from the top, those ribbons are from the WWII Pacific Theater, WWII European Theater, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War and War on Terrorism. Interpreted as a service ribbon, the stars and stripes of the American flag are represented in the middle of the blanket. There are a total of 56 stars representing the 50 states, District of Columbia and the 5 U.S. territories: Puerto Rico, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and American Samoa. Reverse side is red, white and blue with stars. A wonderful gift for a young soldier, a tribute to a veteran and a symbol of American national pride.
