C.Crane Solar Radio
With a small footprint and impressive audio performance, this is a perfect emergency radio. It looks great on a shelf or kitchen counter, available for any emergency situation using the optional AC power adapter (not included, but sold separately), or with 3 AA batteries (not included).
It includes a built-in LED flashlight, access to AM, FM and Weather (with NOAA weather alert), an LCD display, and five station memory buttons. During a blackout, charge the lithium-ion battery in the sunlight (a 3-3/4" x 1-1/2" solar panel is mounted on top) or use the wind-up hand crank. When fully charged, the ion battery will run the radio more than 35 hours at high volume or about 50 hours on the energy miser setting.
A rubber flap on the right end covers an earphone jack, AUX input jack, radio power charging jack, a phone charging jack (standard USB port) and a battery choice switch (LI or AA). A whip antenna extends from 4-3/4" to 25", folds into a slot on top of the radio and provides enhanced distant radio reception. The battery compartment is located on the back of the radio.
Page 23 of the operation manual has instructions to set BlueTooth up to play audio from your phone, tablet, or computer for up to about 50´, depending on obstructions. A cheat-sheet on the inside cover has instructions for setting the clock, alarm, sleep timer, weather alerts, and other settings. Measures 6" x 2-1/2" x 3" tall. Weighs 18 oz. White and gray with a detachable wrist strap. A detailed instruction manual is included.
