Randall Combat Companion with Stag
The Combat Companion has been very popular for use as a camp knife. With the double hilt, it is also an excellent self-defense tool. For a while we offered this knife only as the Copper Companion and with Black Micarta. In November 2018, we placed an order for twenty with India Stag, a double brass hilt and no butt cap or butt plate. The 5" modified spearpoint blade is forged from 1⁄4" O-1 high carbon bar stock and hardened to about 54 Rc. (We suggest our RustFree™ to protect the blade – RF125 . . . $8.95.) This is the original CDT (cut down tang) version, which means there is a little less weight to the knife, making for more comfortable carry and use.
The top edge of the blade is sharpened. The handle is India Stag with a brass double hilt. Measures approximately 9-5⁄8" tip to butt. Weighs about 8.1 oz. Ships with a brown leather Model A sheath with pouch and sharpening stone.
