Buck's Legacy series has become increasingly popular over the last few years, especially with collectors of Buck Knives. This series is typically traditional folders and fixed blades, usually a variation of an inline model or one that has been discontinued. Last year, Buck made a move into new territory. They tapped members of the Buck Custom Shop team for new designs to add to the series. Jeff Legerton, a Buck employee for over 30 years and a member of the Buck Custom Shop for over 15, designed what he calls a Palm Skinner.
Jeff is known for his use of unique elements and the Palm Skinner is a great example with a unique shaped handle of Box Elder, Bloody Jasper and Paperstone. It features a 4-1/4" modified drop point blade of mirror polished 420HC stainless at 57-59 Rc. The handle has a unique shape with a curved butt end that will curl around your hand as you hold it. Does not include a sheath, but ships with an American walnut glass top display box. This is a limited edition of 250 serial numbered pieces, (sorry no choice of serial number). The knife measures 7-3/4" overall and weighs 7.9 oz. Made in the U.S.A. Suggested retail is $550.00. The number of pieces available to us is very limited.
