CRKT Minimalist Katana
Alan Folts of Melbourne, Florida may have released the original Minimalist® design years ago, but the latest additions to the series are proof he's far from running out of great ideas. The Minimalist® Katana has a slightly larger blade while still being lightweight. Expanding the prominent line of outdoor fixed blade knives, Alan drew his latest inspiration for the Minimalist Katana from his Facebook community group. It was originally called the "Katanamalist".
With a 3-5⁄8" blade, it's the largest in the Minimalist series yet. The full-tang blade is 8Cr13MoV at 58-60 Rc. with a beadblasted finish. Aided by three finger choils, hand-contoured black and green Micarta® scales, and a braided nylon FOB, it provides surprising comfort and control. Weighs only 2.3 oz. in the sheath. It is a personal carry you will barely notice. Measures 6-5⁄8" overall. Suggested retail is $44.99. Made in China.
