Product Details

It seems that most of us played marbles when we were boys. Even when I talk with the young folks here in the office, most of them either played marbles when they were of school age, or their brothers did. When I played, marbles were expensive for a young boy, some outrageously so. I will never forget losing my agate pee-wee, a smaller than normal marble made of real agate. I had traded almost 100 regular marbles for that thing and it was my favorite shooter for almost a year. I matched it against a larger one very like it, in a wager as to who could get nearest to a line 6 feet away from the shooting line.

Today, marbles are more like worry beads for me. I no longer have a desire to get down on my knees for regular play. If you are still limber enough, it should be great fun to get outside and teach your grandchildren how to play with this jar of fifty of different sizes and colors. If not, perhaps like me, you'll find the jar on your desk, bringing back old memories and helping to keep your fingers nimble.

Plastic jar contains fifty glass marbles, a cloth bag for carrying the marbles in your pocket and an instruction booklet.
