Bob Dozier is one of the best knifemakers in the country. For many years, he has made every leather sheath that has been provided by Dozier made knives. To make the best quality sheath possible, Bob went to the best source of experience in the country to gain more knowledge about working leather. He began going to shows held for those making the highest quality handmade saddles where he improved his skills in the craft. This tenacity in the pursuit of perfection and years of experience making sheaths has made him an expert leather-worker.

He recently decided to try his hand at making leather belts, primarily because what he was buying for his own use were not holding up as he thought they should.

As in all he does, his belts are made by hand with top quality materials and great attention to detail. This 1-1/2" wide belt is made of 6 oz. American made Herman Oak Bridle Leather, a strong flexible leather that was originally created for harness makers. Using a long strip, Bob folds it at the buckle to create a double layer that is glued together and then stitched with a heavy bonded polyester thread. The outside surface of the belt is hand embossed in a sunburst motif. Fitted with a heavy-duty solid brass buckle (non-removable), it is built to last a lifetime. Brown.
