The High Life - Dall Sheep
Limited to 95 Premier Giclée Framed Canvas Prints
By Ron Van Gilder
Hunting Dall Sheep is an extreme sport. They inhabit the sub-artic mountain ranges of Alaska, the Yukon Territory, the Mackenzie mountains in the western Northwest Territories and Northern British Columbia. These nimble animals are found where open alpine ridges, meadows and steep slopes with extremely rugged ground occur together creating protection from predators. This terrain has limited hunting to a relatively few hardy individuals who thrive on the challenge of mountain hunting. Many hunters are very selective and take only trophy rams, often choosing instead to watch and enjoy the experience. Of all hunting locations, sheep country can be the most formidable.
