Viper Drop with Guinea Fowl Feather
I have always admired the plummage of the Guinea Fowl. A few years ago, we introduced three knives from Viper of Maniago, Italy that had feathers embedded in a clear resin for handle scales. Those knives have been very popular, and I kept thinking about those guinea feathers. At the 2019 Blade Show, we sat down with Viper and arranged production of the Drop with Guinea feathers for A.G. Russell. Each knife will be one of a kind because each feather will be very different.
The Drop has a 1-7/8" drop point blade of Nitro-B stainless at 57-59 Rc. with a fine satin finish. The blade is held securely in the open position with a liner style lock of AISI 301 hardened steel. Measures 3" closed. Weighs 2.6 oz. Includes a simple leather pouch to protect against scratches. Made in Maniago, Italy.
